The American Association of Equine Practitioners is the world's largest professional association for equine veterinarians and veterinary students. It's mission: To improve the health and welfare of the horse, to further the professional development of its members, and to provide resources and leadership for the benefit of the equine industry.

The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), established in 1863, is a non-profit association representing more than 80,000 veterinarians working in private and corporate practice, government, industry, academia, and uniformed services. It's Mission: The mission of the Association is to improve animal and human health and advance the veterinary medical profession.

Theriogenology is that branch of veterinary medicine which deals with reproduction, including the physiology and pathology of male and female reproductive systems and the clinical practice of veterinary obstetrics, gynecology, and semenology.
